    Cannot reproduce on Firefox 35.0. For me, it's line-broken. – ProgramFOX Jan 18 '15 at 18:02
  • I repro'd it in Chrome and Safari, so maybe it's webkit specific. – bjb568 Jan 18 '15 at 18:04

Webkit does handle word-breaks differently, and does allow unbreakable words (or bits of words) to extend outside borders. That link doesn't look right anyway. Far better to make a short link with tinyurl or something similar. – Andrew Leach Jan 18 '15 at 19:38
  • Happened to me in Chrome, also. – Shokhet Jan 18 '15 at 20:42

The comment in question was made in this posting.

The problem is nothing to do with line breaks. It is due to the fact that Kris failed to include the http:// component of the URL. (NB — I am using Chrome as my browser.)

This is how he/she formatted it:

Appended as a comment below is the same link, this time including the http:// prefix.

  • This is how the link should have been formatted: – Erik Kowal Jan 19 '15 at 3:44

  • @bjb568 - But the link in my comment actually works; the fact that the Ngram tool doesn't find the search terms isn't relevant to your question as posed. – Erik Kowal Jan 19 '15 at 3:48
  • I think this is the desired link. – bjb568 Jan 19 '15 at 3:50

Aha — I notice that your link starts with https:// and not http:// I think that clears up the conundrum. :) – Erik Kowal Jan 19 '15 at 3:53
  • +1 so I don't have to see this question being bumped again by "community". – Mari-Lou A Jun 18 '15 at 11:04
