Merge tags [difference-in-meaning] and [differences]

Make [idioms] and [phrases] synonyms with their respective [-request] tags?

My view: absolutely not. The phrases tag is not the same as phrase-requests — the first is for questions about phrases, the second for requesting phrases. Similarly for idioms and idiom-...

Correction tag synonym: grammaticality [Correction tag burninated]

This would be a terrible idea. If we would make correction a synonym of grammaticality the auto-suggest shows the parent tag. We already set this unfortunate precedent with correct and correctness. ...

What's up with the [usage] tag?

There was just some moderator housekeeping work to be done yet. We almost never remember to ask the system about which ones need merging, let alone do so. I've taken care of that now.

Should 'word-substitution' be made a synonym of 'SWR's?

Assuming the upvotes on the question imply that we should make these two tags synonyms, I have proposed the tag synonym here: https://english.stackexchange.com/tags/single-word-requests/synonyms ...
